Playing Bitcoin casino reviews with Evelyn, All-in Every Hand
Playing on Bodog has been going very, very well. I don’t know if I’ve been getting lucky or the players are worse than on Bitcoin casino reviews, but I’ve been cleaning up the $3/6 and $5/10 NL games. (Ok, as I’m writing this, I’ve decided what it is - the players are worse. In early position, I had Q-Q. I raised to $35 and get three callers, so the pot is $155. Flop comes out 9 high with two spades. I bet $100 and get one caller. The pot is now at $355, and the guy who called has about $275 left behind him. The turn is a red jack. I bet the rest of his chips - he ponders for a while before calling - with K-7 of spades, only a one card flush draw. Nice. Except the 8 of spades comes on the river, letting the fish take my money. Oh well, reload. And not surprisingly, in the time I’ve taken to write this story, he’s lost half his stack.) Ok, anyway, overall it’s been quite profitable.
A couple days ago, I had the chance to play in a cash game with Evelyn Ng. Apparently she was delayed at LAS for a flight to Atlantic City to play in the Borgata Open, so she decided to slum it and play at her $3/6 NL table. That’s right, her table. Bodog sponsors Ng, David Williams, Jamie Gold, and Josh Arieh - and they all have seats reserved at all times. In the nine days I’ve been playing on the site, I’ve only seen one of those players (Ng) sit down one time. But no one can ever sit in their seat. Not sure if that’s good or bad for the site - they could be losing a lot of rake revenue, but then again, maybe players will think it’s cool to play with the big name pros. My session with Evelyn was unremarkable. I didn’t really get into any pots with her and lost some money overall, but not nearly as much as she lost. I’M sure there are bigger fish for her to fry when she gets to AC. She was chatting it up with all the players though, taking all of the date requests in stride. One guy even said to her, “¿Do you remember at (some bar in Vegas) when I lit your cigarette?” To which she responded, “Oh yeah, I definitely remember you from the 100+ who have done that.” Good one. I haven’t seen her do hardly anything on the circuit recently, but she probably takes advantage of the surrounding high stakes cash games. I hope. Either that or she’s just famous for being attractive and friends with Daniel Negreanu.
Ok, you know how when you use play money online, ¿there are some players who don’t take it seriously at all and go all-in every hand? Why not, it’s just play money anyway. Well, I saw somebody doing that at a $5/10 NL, $1000 max buy-in table. Actually, not just one person - two players, two separate days. Going all-in every hand with $1000 or more. Seriously. It was just incredible. Apparently $1000 at a time means nothing to these guys. Once everyone figured out what was going on, they were waiting for the hand to easily double up. However, when the guy got called for the first time, the caller had 8-8, and the looney toon had 10-10, doubling up. Then I played his victim a few hands later (he was still going all-in every hand) when I had A-J and he turned over A-K. Oops. Maybe five hands later, he lost all of his money in a $7000 pot and then left. Looking back, my play was pretty stupid. Against a guy who is going all-in every hand, A-J is almost certainly a favorite. But it’s only a 2-1 favorite against two unders, and there are hands which it’s a huge dog. Playing a guy like that, there should be many opportunities - maybe wait for a better hand. I don’t know, perhaps I’m being too critical. I do know one thing though - I never figured to have that chance to play a crazy man like that again. But sure enough, last night I saw the same situation with a different player. All-in every hand with $1000 or more. And this guy had a bankroll. Lose $1000 - reload. Another $1000 - reload. He probably threw away $7000 in a couple hours. And when he got lucky, the other players were fuming. ¿But what could they do? All you can hope for in bitcoin casinos is to get your money in with the best of it. I waited for my spots and ended up making a nice profit off of him. When he left the table, I had about $5000 in front of me, mostly from him. Thanks dude. Then he went to another table and I followed him closely behind. But he lost a quick $1000 and left. Onto another table - found him again - but he left. I think he didn’t like that I was following his every step. I’Ll just hope he comes back again soon.
