Son Heung-min receives support and proves himself as a 'pretty voy CB'

Radu Dragusin is doing his first pre-season training in South Korea.

Tottenham Hotspur entered the country through Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 at 2:35 PM on July 28 for the 'Coupang Play Series'. Son Heung-min, Ben Davies, and Yves Bissouma entered the country holding the Taegeukgi. Archie Gray and James Maddison also joined them and took a commemorative photo. Tottenham will play the Coupang Play Series against Team K-League and Bayern Munich.

Dragusin entered the country late. He took a separate flight to Korea. Dragusin led Romania to the round of 16 in the UEFA Euro 2024. He then went on vacation. Dragusin, who did not join the Japan tour, joined Korea and is reunited with his teammates at the Seongnam FC clubhouse, sweating bullets as he undergoes his first pre-season training.

Expectations are high for next season. With Mickey van der Pen and Christian Romero heavily reliant on the team, and Eric Dier heading to Bayern Munich, a center back was needed, and Dragusin was brought in. Dragusin played less minutes than expected. He was pushed out by van der Pen and Romero, and had to be content with coming on as a substitute in the second half.

"If I can't continue playing for Tottenham, I'll have to think about other options," Dragusin's agent said, publicly expressing his discontent. With reports that Tottenham is looking for another center back, Dragusin's position has become ambiguous. Dragusin showed an impressive performance at the Euro, where he needed to prove himself. Dragusin, who had received support from Son Heung-min on SNS before the tournament, showed good performance from the first match of the Euro and returned to Tottenham with good results.

Tottenham played the last match against Vissel Kobe without a dedicated center back. Fullback Ben Davies and Emerson Royale formed the center back line. Romero and Van de Pen did not join this tour, and there are no new center backs. Dedicated center back Dragusin will be in charge of defense for Team K-League and Munich.

Meanwhile, Tottenham will hold an open training and pre-match press conference on July 30, and then meet Team K-League on July 31. On August 2nd, there will be a pre-match press conference before the match against Munich, and on August 3rd, there will be a match against Munich.
