I´m reading a book called the University Murders. I´m enyoing it, but in the second chapter at the end, there are some sentences that cost me a lot to understand.I´ll grateful if you can help me with this.
As she walked back to her car, Logan thought about Billy Marr. Would Grant have been quick enough to catch him before he had got too far from the police station?

¿Hubiera sido Grant lo bastante rápido para alcanzarle (imagino que se refiere a Billy Marr) antes de haberse alejado demasiado de la estación de policía?
