Is the RTX 2070 a good graphics card?
This is a fantastic device, but before you buy, make sure you understand why you require one of this caliber.
When compared to other GPUs for simpler projects, the main advantages you will have with this one are the upscale capabilities and RTX technology. I frequently game, make films, play VR, and produce music. Obviously, this GPU is not required for music production.
Gaming: The RTX is ideal for super-high visuals in demanding games. I run all triple A titles at maximum settings and get 120 frames per second on all of them. Nothing could have been better. If you play video games competitively, you'll want to play on lower graphics settings for a variety of reasons, so this may not be essential for you.
VR: I used to have a 1060 GTX with VR capability. The 1060 performed admirably, with no problems running VR. With my 1060, I could even play Half Life: Alyx. The problem is that there are a lot of moving pieces in many VR games. When there are too many moving parts, frame rate will be lost. The 2070 Super Cards, on the other hand, has no frame drop at all. It makes no difference how many particles are on the screen. It also enables me to stream at a considerably faster data rate, resulting in a greater screen quality in VR.
Graphics scaling: This is one of the GPU's greatest features. Many games, as well as my display, include the ability to "scale" the resolution. Many games are set to run at 1920x1080 by default. With the scaling option, you can increase your resolution by up to 500%, which means that instead of running a game at FHD, you can run it at UHD (4K) without any frame drops. This is fantastic for me because the resolution of my display is 2K, not 1920x1080.
That is my overall assessment of its best features. Again, this GPU is far more specialized than most people know. Buy a cheaper GPU if you're not taking advantage of the same things I am. This one is unnecessary and will only increase the cost of your build.
